I am looking for a Field Service Engineer for my client a global leader in
Biotech systems to cover West Germany and the Benelux countries. The role is home
based and would be located within the region. The Field Service Engineer is the primary interface with the customer in providing the
on-site service of installations, troubleshooting, repairs and routine
maintenance of equipment and systems.
Description.
• Respond to internal and external customer inquires regarding Instrumentation
products
• Provide service through both remote and on-site troubleshooting and repair.
• Provide servicing and repair of complex equipment and systems; checks out and
approves operational quality of system equipment.
• Ensure instrumentation is functioning to specifications.
• Respond to service calls to isolate or fix routine problems in malfunctioning
equipment; reports design, reliability, and maintenance problems to appropriate
internal department.
• Partner with sales and marketing, QA/QC, research, and development to address
customer concerns, determine corrective action, and customer follow-up. QUALIFICATIONS
A high level of technical knowledge, communication, troubleshooting and customer
handling / interpersonal skills required. Working knowledge and experience with
Microsoft Office.
Experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Lasers & associated Optics
- Electro-mechanical Devices
- Liquid handling
- Robotic systems
- DNA preparation / Handling
