Job Title:           Biotech Sales - Proteomics

My client a proteomics tools company is looking for a Sales Representative to cover Germany.  The role is to be responsible for all aspects of the sales process to secure business including customer service, order placement, product support, product demonstrations and applications for assigned territory.   

Scope
Sales of the biochips, instruments, consumables and mass spectrometry analysis software to proteomics customers.  

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct sales, product support and marketing
  • Provides follow up on lead referrals and will identify new prospects
  • Demonstrates product line utility and competitive advantages within mass spec proteomics work flows
  • Will coordinate company activities to close sales
  • Manage product shows at key accounts or trade shows
  • Local and national account responsibility
  • Travel required

Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience in life sciences sales
  • Requires working knowledge of protein analysis or proteomics
  • Excellent sales communication skills and personal motivation to succeed
  • Able to learn proteomic methods quickly in order to communicate integrated work flows to customers effectively
  • Able to thrive in start up atmosphere where individuals have many responsibilities
  • B.S. degree or higher in a life science related field
