My client is leading global supplier of network video systems located in The
United States and the Netherlands. They are looking for a Proposals Manager
who can be based at either location.
The Proposals Manager is the central person in developing a commercial
proposal for CCTV projects of large complexity and size. He/she will work
closely together with Regional Sales Managers and Systems Engineers in order to
create competitive proposals. In addition the Proposals Manager maintains close
contact with the internal departments that contribute to the proposal process,
such as the second-line technical support, Product Management and
Purchasing/Logistics.
At the end of the proposal preparation stage, the Proposals Manager performs
a comprehensive risk analysis and obtains the appropriate management
authorization. During the implementation phase the Proposals Manager will play a
role in performing the contract review and coordination.
Duties:
* Determine proposal strategy in cooperation with the Regional Sales Managers
and Systems Engineers.
* Management of the proposal process, including planning, coordination and
monitoring progress.
* Global assessment of the tender documents in order to obtain a first
impression of the possible success of the proposal, the required effort
involved, as well as requesting any missing information.
* Create proposal in cooperation with the Regional Sales Manager and Systems
Engineer as well as the different internal departments.
* Write, edit, and correct technical/commercial texts
* Risk management with focus on technique and implementation
* Monitoring the quality of the proposal (content, style and layout)
* Contract review after obtaining the contract
Education and Background:
* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in electrical engineering
* Preferably experience with IP / Ethernet and CCTV applications
* At least 5 years’ experience in systems engineering and/or project management
* Experience with writing proposals for technical systems
* Excellent commandment of English language.
* Being able to read Spanish is a plus
* Willingness to travel
* Experience in working with international teams is a plus
