My client invests in
technologies emerging from public sector research, across the Life Sciences.
They are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with the knowledge,
contacts and ability to transfer early stage technology by licensing and
spin-outs.
Role:
-
Interact closely with leading research scientists in UK and elsewhere around
the world to understand and assess new technologies for commercial potential

Build and maintain excellent relations with source Research Institutes.

Market technologies internationally, matching them with commercial
development partners in a wide range of possible business sectors

Establish deals with commercial development partners/licensees to develop
and commercialise the technology

Catalyse spin-out formation where appropriate
-
Display first rate communication and interpersonal skills; excellent
judgement of early stage biological science; energy and creativity in
marketing and deal making; and a sound appreciation of the innovation and
technology transfer process.
The technology areas include: microbiology, biotech, food and
nutrition, plant science, pharma, and so experience of one or more of these
sectors is required.
