My client delivers the digital maps and dynamic content powering some of the
world’s most essential navigation and location-based services. The information
is the foundation for a wide range of personal and in-car navigation systems,
mobile and Internet map applications that help users find the people, places,
products, and services they need.
They are looking for a Quality, Training and Methods Coordinator to take
responsible for quality actions, training and methods to ensure the production
of superior GIS databases.Job Functions:
- Ensure process quality and interact in case of deficiencies and initiate
corrective actions.
- Organize and implement training for Database Operations employees
and partner organisations and ensure that they are on the same education &
training level and apply the same validation processes, specs and tools.
- Ensure that everyone in sector and partner organisations is working with
the same actual documents (specifications, methods, guidelines) to have
uniform working-methods and tools.
- Develop and make quality checks of the surveyed data to get control of
collection quality and individual performance.
- Develop and execute quality audits of the produced data in order to get
control on whole process quality or in order to get quality statements for
business critical features, attributes and relationships
- Provide technical support on technical issues relating to tools, specs and
processes (first line helpdesk)
- Install, check and roll-out hardware and tools in co-operation with IT.
- Be responsible for Data Handling of Database Releases and Quality
compliance within the organization.
They are looking for a highly motivated, results oriented individual with an
interest and aptitude for cartography. You will hold a relevant degree, or
equivalent, and will have at least 3 years experience in surveying /
cartography particularly with regard to Quality Management. This will be combined with in-depth PC skills (MS Office with MS
Access in particular) and a knowledge of GIS packages such as Arc View and
Map Info. You will possess a full driving license
