Job Title:          Database Administrator - GIS

Key skills:        GIS, SQL

Location:           Denmark / Sweden

Duration:           Permanent

Our client is looking for a Database Administrator with GIS skills to be based in Denmark or Sweden.

The role is to support the Points of Interest Operation (POI) in the realization of a Europe POI product.  The role is focused on maintaining and enhancing the POI Data Warehouse, executing operations on data and technically assisting the team members to fulfil all the requests regarding the newly expanded POI product in Europe. The main emphasis in terms of experience is data handling experience rather than GIS experience although GIS experience would be a bonus.

The main accountabilities will be:

· To perform quality checks on incoming POI data from the various content providers

· Data
Analysis, Uploading, Geocoding and Reformatting

· Create
Meta information, reports and records for process steps and statistics for POI

· Manage a contact network of information suppliers including regular evaluations and assessments.

· Data acquisition including negotiations with suppliers

The main experience
/ skills:

3-5 years Database experience.

Advanced Excel and Access

SQL

Fluent in English and Danish and/or  Swedish.

Analytical and able to analyse, evaluate and recommend changes.

Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with suppliers etc

Able to work under own initiative

Organised, respects deadlines etc
