My client is looking for Technical Support Engineers to be
based in Belgium who will be responsible for providing Field Service engineers
and customers with accurate and efficient Online technical support. You are
responsible for initial response and follow-up of customer issues including
listening and understanding issue, documentation of issues, assigning call type
and priority (triage), gathering data, investigating, and isolating the issue.
You will work with Field service people, affiliate organizations and customers
around the globe.
This individual is viewed as the conduit for feedback of ideas, systemic
problems, and user interface issues from end users, and field service. This
individual is responsible to manage customer issues by effectively focusing
resources to quickly resolve problems and escalating any unresolved issues to
ensure customer satisfaction. Quick escalation of issues following
predetermined processes will be required where problems are not solved in a
pre-defined time period.
As a Technical Support Online Engineer, you will be able to develop sound and
honest relationships with internal and external customers. The position will be
included in a rotation for after hours and weekend responsibility.
Required qualifications for this position include:

Technical studies,
certificate or Bachelor's degree in engineering electronics, electro-mechanics,
or physics

An advanced technical degree
is a plus.

An experience preferably in
the Medical device support industry

Excellent English verbal and
written communication skills, strong technical background, client-oriented

Hands-on experience with
electronic test equipment including: DVM, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.

Excellent problem solving
skills.

Experience in basic
administration of Windows-based computer software and hardware would be an
advantage.

Good computer skills,
including the use of standard office software programs including spreadsheet,
word processing and email applications.

Knowledge of TCP/IP, Ping,
FTP, RDP, and Telnet. PERL and Unix is a plus.
