Our client is looking for a Market Development Manager for Immediate Release (IR) Technologies to take responsibility for leading the IR market development activity in the EMEA region.

Reporting to the Global General Manager of IR Technologies based in the US, the Market Development Manager is a member of the EMEA Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding the IR market / trends / developments in Europe
   

• Developing Regional strategy in line with the Global strategy and driving this through the Regional Sales Managers
   

• Providing matrix leadership and training to the regional business development and technical teams
   

• Developing an in-depth knowledge of the all commercial and technical aspects of the product group
   

• Launching new products as applicable
   

• Leading key promotional activities and determining key messages for Europe
   

• Liaising with the Marketing Services Manager to develop literature and promotional material
   

• Attending conferences and exhibitions

The role requires up to 30% overseas travel in Europe

Requirements

• Bachelors degree required in either marketing or technical discipline (such as pharmaceutical science, chemistry, biology)
   

• Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical / excipients / drug delivery market
   

• Experience in a senior commercial role
   

• Proven planning and project management skills
   

• Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal and relationship building attributes
   

• Highly motivated with a can-do attitude
   

• Strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret data, understand trends and determine strategic and commercial conclusions
   

• Ability to provide leadership in a matrix environment
   

• Potential for further development within the company
