Our client is looking for a Web Developer experienced in enterprise scale development.

Reporting to the Web Development Team Leader within the corporate IT software development department, the primary focus will be the end-to-end design and development of web-facing applications of all scales and the in-house content management system. Experience of enterprise scale development.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of all our clients web-facing applications
Develop an understanding of the business in order to fully understand the business requirements and ensure the system is developed in a way that compliments the business strategy.
Define system design specifications in line with business requirements.
Carry out system development and/or manage 3rd party suppliers to carry out system development in-line with system design specifications.
Provide regular feedback to IT managers and business functions on progress of development projects.
Create and maintain technical design documentation.
Provide expert knowledge to the application support team to assist with defect resolution.
Mentor junior members of the development team in order that they can assist with the development effort.

Essential knowledge and experience

5+ years experience in a system design/development role across the whole project life-cycle.
3+ years development experience using the Microsoft .NET framework using C#.
3+ years experience working with HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT and JavaScript.
3+ years experience with Oracle and PL/SQL programming.
A high degree of understanding of Internet Information Server.
Excellent communication and people skills
Experience working with Microsoft Office.
Enterprise scale development
Web Service development

Desirable knowledge and skills

· Experience working with Service Oriented Architectures.
· Graphic design and production experience (Photoshop, etc.)
· Experience of mobile / telecommunications industry.
· Experience with Microsoft Visual Basic, COM+ and “classic” ASP.
· SQL Server / MS Access / MSDE experience
