Our client
provides products and services to
biopharmaceutical manufacturing and analytical, clinical and research
laboratories. They are looking for an
Applications Specialist to be responsible for his / her own territory
within the UK to generate new and safeguard existing business in order to
achieve and develop aggressive sales objective and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Development of new customer accounts. Generates new leads by identifying
opportunities, promoting the interests of our clients products. Achieves/exceeds
sales objectives. Manages Millipore total offering onsite to ensure customer
satisfaction
- Responsible for identifying and analyzing the status of the customer’s
decision making process.
- Maintains and updates customer information and leads management programs
- Continually monitors sales performance to ensure all customer orders are
realised internally and delivered in line with customer expectations
- Contracts negotiation (including service contracts) with customers according
to the national price policy
- Provides the customers with all necessary pre and after sales support,
quotations, systems design, running cost calculations
- Provides regular forecast information
- Provides feedback on new market opportunities identified while visiting
customers
- Develops at his/her local level a cross-divisional network
Technical Competencies
- Degree in relevant science subject i.e. Pharmaceutical / Biological/
Biotechnology / Chemistry
- Proven relevant working experience in Biotechnology Industry
- 3-5 years sales experience
- Good IT skills
Interpersonal Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal skills in order to develop long term customer
relationships
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative and with limited
supervision from home office
- Excellent sales/negotiation skills
- Good practical technical and demonstration ability
