Our client is looking for a Senior Field Applications Engineer to be based in
Paris. They are developing System-on-Chip solutions for next-generation
Broadband Wireless Access systems (based on WiMAX). They deliver complete PHY and MAC protocol stacks for Base Stations and Subscriber
Stations. Responsibilities:
Pre and Post Sales for System-on-Chip solutions at
system vendors developing 802.16 / WiMAX products. Through your technical
expertise and communication skills you will contribute to major design wins and
assist customers in all development stages of their products.
You are a highly skilled and experienced engineer with expertise in at least one
of:-
Real-Time software development
MAC layer protocol design
Digital
Signal Processing
RF Design.
As the primary technical interface to customers and prospects you will support
them in all aspects related to the evaluation of our clients’ technology, software and hardware. That includes
product presentations, demonstrations, customer trainings, technical support of
customer engineering teams and writing customer documentation. You are a hand’s
on engineer with the ability to install a system including boards, loading
software, and performing detailed configurations and testing.
You are fast learner, autonomous, team-oriented and motivated by customer
relationship. You should be willing to travel to customer locations and be able
to work closely with other engineering or marketing teams.
Required Experience
Engineering degree
7+ years experience in the telecommunications and/or microelectronics
industry
System-level knowledge of Broadband Wireless Access systems
Previous experience in R&D and full product development cycle
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Fluent English plus another European language
