The role will include the use of existing models in environmental consultancy work,  further development of these models, involvement in R&D work for new modelling systems and software configuration.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree in a mathematical or physical scientific discipline and will ideally be able to demonstrate knowledge and/or experience of modelling applications to the marine environment.  Experience of programming in C++ / C# or a similar language would be advantageous but not essential.  They will be a motivated problem solver able to work both on their own initiative and under guidance.
