My client is a leading
UK based electronics innovation company building a production facility in
Germany. The company has a
prototype facility in the UK and a number of Process Engineers are required to
play key roles in transferring processes from the prototype line to full
production in Germany. This scale-up will involve setting up and ramping up
production on brand new tools, to achieve the process requirements as defined in
the UK. They are looking for an Integration Engineer to build and ramp up a
stable and repeatable process, as well as to understand the causes of device
failure.
Specific Responsibilities:
Developing yield-monitoring and control within the manufacturing line,
working with cross-functional teams to determine and prevent failures.
Performing and reporting on yield analysis on process parameters, defects and
equipment failures.
Performing low-yield, electrical and physical failure analysis.
Optimising automated optical inspection and electrical test systems, to
accurately determine yield and failure routes.
Defining the process monitoring and SPC requirements for the line, as the line
moves from setup and ramp up, to full production.
Competencies sought:
Degree qualified with at least 2 years experience in a relevant
manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of device physics.
A practical knowledge of a broad range of flat panel or semiconductor
processing methods.
Proven track record of yield enhancement execution in a manufacturing
environment.
Knowledge of a variety of analysis and metrology tools and techniques, such as
profilometry, ellipsometry, and microscopy.
A practical knowledge of automated optical inspection tools.
Experience of electrical test and analysis of TFT electrical performance would
be an advantage.
Experience with implementation and monitoring of SPC and data collection.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to approach process issues in
structured manner.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate
effectively at all levels.
Fluent in German and English.
The roles will ultimately be based in Germany, with an initial period of
approximately 3-4 months to be spent in the UK. Some international travel to the
production tool vendors sites will also be required.
