My client is a global producer of products for genotyping and gene expression. They are looking for an application support specialist to provide support in the areas of biology, hardware and software relating to the its products from their UK based location.

The position combines a high technical level with excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Excellent communications skills: verbal and written
• Molecular biology experience, RNA and DNA, PCR, gene expression, genotyping.
• 1-3 years laboratory experience essential
• Organisational skills, ability to multitask and interact with colleagues
• Ability to work in a team, sharing of knowledge, feedback
• Ability to work alone and self-learner for new product and continuous increase of product knowledge
• Knowledge of DNA or RNA microarray technology would be an advantage
• Teaching or training experience
• Ability to adhere to timelines and schedules
• Excellent computer experience.
• Bioinformatics experience would be an advantage.
• More than 1 year experience of Customer facing support.
• Fluency in German or Spanish essential.
